We landed Chili’s as a client this year and I got to do some facility shots. The interiors turned out great, but I really liked the feel of this exterior with the clouds creeping in.
I recently updated some photos of Margarita’s Cantina just west of Douglas and Hillside. Upon leaving i noticed the street was wet and would make for a interesting night image. Here you see the headlights of cars that have passed by during the long exposure of the buildings exterior. I like the way this turned out.
This image is a few years old and is a screen shot from their web site. Now this little strip mall north of the corner of 21st and Greenwich is almost entirely full. I always recommend that clients shoot things when they are brand new. Buildings, machines, products, facilities anything really. You never know when you may need that photograph in the future to show off the past.
I photographed a few shows for Wichita Sessions season this past year and they had the wrap party the other night. Jenny Wood Trio entertained first and she has a great groove to her music. Jenny makes you want to give up on a singing career she’s so good. Then Dead Silos, a spin off group from Black Gasoline, played and they were excellent. I’m on a hunt for their CD’s now. I was really impressed by their style and feel. Check them both out if you can.
I was asked to photograph the Creative Rush event this month while musician Gooding and artist Wade Hampton discussed their creative process. Very interesting conversation between the long time friends and they had a great crowd. Here is a link to my FB gallery for the whole event.
I had not seen or even heard of the brothers who are Elliot Road, but I’m a huge fan now. Some of my favorite music I own is their CD “Dust Covered Man.” Below is the FB gallery from their Wichita Sessions season 2 show. If you ever get a chance to see Elliot Road do it, they are totally worth the time to go see.

Went to the Naked City Gallery Saturday night to see Wade Hamptons solo show and shot some stills while hanging out. I liked his work, the gallery was full of people and he had little things to eat. See the whole gallery here.
